Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar sea beach
Cox's Bazar is one of the most attractive tourist spots and the longest sea beach in the world (approx. 120 km long). Miles of golden sands, towering cliffs, surfing waves, rare conch shells, colorful pagodas, Buddhist temples and tribes, delightful seafood-this is Cox's Bazar, the tourist capital of Bangladesh. The beauty of the setting-sun behind the waves of the sea is simply captivating. Locally made cigars and hand loom products of the tribal Rakhyne families are good buys.

Inani beach, Cox's Bazar
The Inani beach is found about 32 km south of the town where golden sand goes on for about 100 miles unbroken! The bay of Bengal in front of eyes, one standing on golden sand and steep hills before one's eyes if he/she turn around.
There is small fountain that comes down the hills in walking distance. This place is much less crowded and ideal for sea baths and perhaps a picnic.

Cox’s Bazar is nearly 150 km away from the port district Chittagong.

  • Cox’s Bazar can be reached by bus, train or air (Dhaka-Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar).
  • Good hotels, restaurants and resorts are available near sea beach.(e.g., Seagull Hotel, Sea Crown Hotel, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Mermaid Eco-Resort).
  • Tour operators offer special package for tourists. (e.g., The Guide Tours Ltd., The Bengal Tours Ltd.)
